Kochi — FAQ

Is one day in Kochi enough?

A half-day covers the Fort Kochi highlights (fishing nets, Mattancherry Palace, St. Francis Church); a full day allows an evening Kathakali show and more time in the old-town lanes.

Should I visit Kochi at the start or end of a Kerala trip?

Either works — many travellers do a light half-day on arrival (to recover from travel) and save a fuller Fort Kochi day for the end of the trip before departure.

Is Kochi airport far from Fort Kochi?

Around 40 km, about 1–1.5 hours by road depending on traffic — most itineraries route straight from the airport to the first destination and fit Fort Kochi in separately.
